We’ve talked before, here at the Savvy Solopreneur, about how Instagram can be a great way of marketing your business to a huge audience of potential customers (and I shared with you how much I love this FREE 7-day Instagram course from Alex Tooby – check it out if you’re an Instagram newbie). As we’ve already discussed, strategically using Instagram stories and hashtags is vital. Another vital element, though, is a more obvious one: the pictures you post.
Great photos or videos can help spark interest in your business and draw people in. But the default photos and videos you take using the Instagram app may not quite be enough to really wow people. The good news is that there are many third party apps that help make your job easier. Here are just a few of them.

Layout
Layout is an Instagram app that has a very simple function: it lets you create collages quickly and easily. So if you have a bunch of photos that don’t really work on their own, you can quickly make them into a beautiful, visually appealing collage. For example, if you do website design work, this app lets you create easy before and after collages to showcase your work to your Instagram audience. It is also helpful if you have a bunch of new products coming in at once, since you can easily showcase them all in one well-made collage.
Boomerang
Boomerang is an Instagram app that lets you quickly capture moments and automatically turn them into a mini video to share with your Instagram followers. Boomerang will shoot a burst of 10 photos in quick succession and then automatically turn them into a short video clip. If you want to capture something that happens quickly and share it with your Instagram audience, but you don’t want to use video, then Boomerang is a great option.
Swipeable
If you’re trying to get a photo of a large product, or a photo with a lot of customers or employees in it, then you’ll want to use a panoramic shot to make sure the photo contains everything, or everyone, you want in it. But panoramic shots are difficult to take with Instagram. Swipeable fixes that. It makes taking wide-angle shots a breeze.
Captiona
A great caption on your Instagram photo is the best way of engaging those who view your photo, and actually converting them into customers. But coming up with a good caption is easier said than done. That’s where Captiona comes in. This app lets you enter a keyword and it will come up with a variety of famous catchphrases, quotes, and other phrases that you can use in your caption. It also makes sure to include some modern-day lines and quotes, so that you are not just quoting famous historical figures all the time.

Gonna give captiona a try!
Thanks for the advice. I tried Boomerang for a short video clip and found it to be the best method to attract my audience. The tips were helpful and I’m looking forward to using them in future videos.
